Pablo Pablano (Jose Japaleno's brother)

Ok I guess I will have to explain this one and it will make no sense, but its really kinda funny!

I love Jeff Dunham. You know the comedian/ventroliquist? If you don't know, please google him, trust me it is so worth it. One of my favorite characters he does is Jose Jalapeno on a stick. It never fails to crack me up! Well I introduced my friends and neighbors to Jeff and his "family". They thought he was halarious! So, for Cinco de Mayo I spend the evening with the neighbors eating tacos, guacamole and Margaritas. When I got there they had made Pablo as shown here. It really is kinda funny, but I guess you had to be there.
Here is the link to Jeff Dunham and Jose!

Betty's Birthday

Betty's 73rd birthday was May 1st. We celebrated by going to Weber Grill. Debbie and Kevin joined us for a wonderful meal. We started with pretzel bread rolls. There was an awesome cheddar butter to go with. And onion peels, of course.
It was a nice time.

Sunday May 2, 2009 Jodi Muszynski and I laced up our tennis shoes and did the walk for MS.

I had a couple of sponsors and we had the most beautiful day! We walked along the Fox River in St. Charles Illinois. Ripley went along with and was such a trooper. He let me put a tee shirt on him and he was such a hit that people from newspapers were taking his picture. Hopefully he will make it into one. We walked 5 miles. Had a few blisters but overall it was just a nice leisurely stroll. It was great catching up with my friend Jodi who I dont get to see very much lately. Maybe that will change with the warmer weather. And now that she has a new puppy......

Indian Trail Chior Field Trip to Chicago

Wednesday April 22nd, 2009 I went on Jessica's 8th grade chior field trip. The day was planned around seeing Disney's Broadway production of "Mary Poppins". We stopped at Millenium Park in Chicago first and checked out the "Bean". Found out that the real name is the "Cloud Gateway". That is what the artist named it anyway. The kids posed for this picture in front. We had lunch at Rainforst Cafe, spent a little time shopping on Navy Pier and then saw the show at the Cadillac Palace. The show was awesome. The story line was very different from the Disney animated version but we enjoyed it!

My First Blog

Well I want to say thank you to Maureen for inspiring me to start this "blogging" thing. I know that I am not so important that anyone cares what I am doing, but maybe my family will want to keep up to date. At least I have somewhere to post my quilting accomplishments! Might be kind of fun. I see this as taking scrapbooking to the next level.
